The Road to 1,000,000 Gamerscore Begins

One million gamerscore. That is the challenge, and I am starting from zero. This is Gamerscore Saga, my personal journey through the Xbox achievement archives, from the legendary classics on the Xbox 360 all the way to the latest releases on the Series X and the upcoming Project Helix.

The Rules of the Saga
I am not just chasing a number for the sake of a leaderboard. For a realist, gamerscore has to mean something. If you are just playing ten-minute “shovelware” titles to inflate your stats, the number becomes hollow. This saga is about celebrating the games that are actually worth your time.

  • Progress Updates: Every week, I will be sharing progress reports on where the count stands and what milestones we have cleared.
  • The Filter: We will grab a few easy wins when they make sense, but the focus is on durable, fun games. If a game is on this list, it is because it is a “real” game that is actually worth playing.
  • Service Intelligence: I’ll be highlighting the best games on Game Pass for those of you chasing your own milestones, from quick completions to the long-haul hidden gems.

Why 1,000,000?
In an era where we “sample” hundreds of games through subscriptions, the achievement system is the only thing that tracks our actual legacy. With Asha Sharma and the new leadership team finally giving the achievement UI the polish it deserves, there has never been a better time to get back to the grind.
This isn’t just about the points; it’s about the games we discover along the way. A million gamerscore isn’t going to unlock itself, so let’s get started.
